Vance, White House blast ‘crazy communists’ protesting DC clean-up, terrorizing locals: ‘Stupid White hippies’

Vance praised law enforcement and said that violent crime had dropped by 35% in the nine days since President Donald Trump ordered the crackdown. The vice president appeared alongside Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, each of whom remarked on the shouting protesters.
Over the past several years, Vance described Union Station as having vagrants, drug addicts, «chronically homeless» people and the mentally ill threatening violence and attacking families in the public transportation hub.
«I think you hear these guys outside here screaming at us. Of course, these are a bunch of crazy protesters. But I’ll tell you, a couple of years ago, when I brought my kids here, they were screamed at by violent vagrants. And it scared the hell out of my kids,» Vance said.
«I know that we’ve traded now, some violent, crazy people who are screaming at kids with a few crazy liberals who are screaming at the vice president. But I think that’s a very worthwhile trade to make, because we want our people to be able to enjoy our beautiful cities,» Vance continued. «This is your city. You should feel free to come and visit here.»

Vance also clashed with a reporter who asked if he had evidence of Washington’s crime problem.
«You just have to look around – obviously D.C. has a terrible crime problem,» he said, pointing to how Department of Justice and FBI statistics «back it up.»
«Just talk to a resident of this city, this beautiful, great American city,» Vance said. «We hear these people outside screaming ‘Free D.C.’ Let’s free D.C. from lawlessness.»
«It is kind of bizarre we have a bunch of old, primarily White people who are out there protesting the policies that keep people safe when they have never felt danger in their entire lives,» the vice president added.
Miller was even more blunt, describing many of the protesters as «elderly» and «over 90 years old.»

«We’re not going to let communists destroy a great American city, let alone the nation’s capital,» Miller said, deriding the protesters as «stupid White hippies.»

«For too long, 99% of this city has been terrorized by 1% of this city,» Miller said. «And the voices that you hear out there, these crazy communists, they have no connection to the city. They have no families. They weren’t raised in this city. They have no one that they’re sending to school in this city. They have no jobs in this city. They have no connections to this community at all. They’re the ones who’ve been advocating for the 1%. The criminals, the killers, the rapists, the drug dealers.»
The Trump administration’s crackdown on violent crime in D.C. has already netted hundreds of arrests. The show of force has swept up gang members, robbery suspects and immigration violators. On Friday alone, 52 people were arrested, including 28 illegal immigrants, while three guns were seized.

Federal teams have also cleared dozens of homeless encampments, and officials said those removals were carried out without confrontations or arrests.
The operation began quietly on Aug. 7 with the launch of the «Making D.C. Safe and Beautiful» task force created by Trump in March through an executive order.

He escalated it on Aug. 11 by temporarily seizing federal control of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) under emergency powers in the Home Rule Act, the first such move in U.S. history.

El “Dr. Satán” de París: la macabra red de asesinatos que aterrorizó a Francia en plena guerra
Durante la ocupación alemana en París, Marcel Petiot, apodado “Dr. Satán”, encabezó una de las más estremecedoras series de asesinatos en la historia de Francia. De médico reconocido, pasó a ser un criminal implacable bajo la fachada de benefactor.
Marcel Petiot nació el 17 de enero de 1897 en Auxerre, Francia. Desarrolló una conducta delictiva desde su infancia. En París, durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, utilizó una falsa red de rescate para atraer y asesinar a personas vulnerables a cambio de grandes sumas.
A lo largo de 1944, la policía parisina investigó denuncias relacionadas con olores extraños y humo excesivo en la vivienda de Petiot. Tras ingresar a su casa, los agentes hallaron decenas de cadáveres y efectos personales de múltiples víctimas.
El arresto de Petiot se efectuó meses después, cuando se ocultaba en París bajo otra identidad.
La biografía de Marcel Petiot evidencia señales de conducta antisocial desde temprana edad. De acuerdo con Historic Mysteries, sus primeras transgresiones incluyeron el uso de armas en la escuela y robos menores. La justicia francesa lo sometió a evaluaciones psiquiátricas en varias oportunidades.
La Primera Guerra Mundial no modificó sus hábitos delictivos. Sirvió brevemente en el ejército, fue herido y luego enfrentó nuevas acusaciones por robo de bienes militares y pertenencias de otros soldados.
Cuando la guerra finalizó, Petiot accedió a un programa educativo acelerado y, en solo ocho meses, obtuvo el título de médico. En Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, volvió al delito: suministró drogas adictivas a pacientes, cometió fraudes y presuntamente realizó abortos ilegales.
La desaparición de Louise Delaveau en 1926 marcó su posible primera víctima mortal. Vecinos relataron haberlo visto transportar un enorme baúl poco después del suceso.
Ese mismo año, Petiot se convirtió en alcalde del pueblo. Pese a estar involucrado en escándalos de corrupción y robo, mantuvo apoyo local. En 1931 dejó el cargo, pero en pocas semanas asumió como consejero municipal. La nueva función duró poco, por haber robado electricidad; entonces se mudó a París con el objetivo de rehacer su carrera.
Allí estableció una clínica privada exitosa, a menudo mediante falsas credenciales. Continuó prescribiendo drogas sin control y cometió fraudes reiteradamente. También pasó por una institución psiquiátrica por cleptomanía. Sin embargo, estos antecedentes aún no permitían anticipar la magnitud de los crímenes que perpetraría en el contexto de la guerra.
Durante la ocupación alemana, Petiot ideó un falso operativo de ayuda a fugitivos. Se presentó como “Dr. Eugene” y ofreció salidas seguras hacia Sudamérica a cambio de 25.000 francos por persona.
Muchas de sus víctimas pertenecían a grupos perseguidos: judíos, miembros de la resistencia y delincuentes buscados. Petiot aseguraba que debían recibir una supuesta “vacuna” para ingresar a Argentina.
De acuerdo con Historic Mysteries, la inyección contenía cianuro y ocasionaba la muerte inmediata de cada víctima. Petiot robaba los bienes personales y eliminaba los cuerpos arrojándolos al río Sena, depositándolos en pozos de cal o incinerándolos en su vivienda. Algunas versiones indican que utilizó el prestigio profesional y la confusión del conflicto bélico para evitar sospechas continuas.
La Gestapo investigó la red al creer que se trataba de un operativo vinculado a la resistencia francesa. Torturó a varios cómplices de Petiot sin lograr información relevante. Mientras tanto, el asesinato y la desaparición de personas continuaron en el clandestinaje de París.
En marzo de 1944, vecinos de la casa en la Rue Le Sueur denunciaron humo persistente y malos olores. La policía y los bomberos ingresaron al lugar y encontraron restos humanos en el sótano, la estufa y el patio. Los investigadores detectaron allí valijas, ropa y otros objetos pertenecientes a sus víctimas. Dr. Satán logró fugarse tras los hallazgos y permaneció oculto durante siete meses.

The White House has 51 Christmas trees and 75 of Mrs. Trump’s signature Christmas wreaths. The wreaths have classic red bows, and hang outside the windows of the White House.

The Blue Room decorations feature blue, gold, and ivory, with gold stars to honor Gold Star families; custom lithophane ornaments to depict each state and territory’s official bird and flower; and more. The decor in the State Dining Room features custom tree boxes with hand-painted magnolia blossoms, gilded acorns and fruits of harvest. It also features the White House Historical Association’s official ornament, which celebrates the 150th anniversary of state dinners at the White House.

WHITE HOUSE’S 2017 HOLIDAY DISPLAY INCLUDES 53 CHRISTMAS TREES, AND HONORS FOR THE MILITARY
In the room is a gingerbread house showcasing the south portico of the White House. The gingerbread house offers a «unique glimpse into the yellow oval in the private residence of the White House.»
The gingerbread house is made of 120 pounds of gingerbread dough, 100 pounds of pastillage dough, more than 10 pounds of chocolate, nearly 80 pounds of royal icing and five pounds of isomalt sugar.
And in the White House’s Grand Foyer and Cross Hall, the first lady highlighted a space as one «Where Love Blooms.»
The decor highlights «the love that blooms in our homes, families and communities,» the White House said.

The spaces feature a forest of 28 trees in burgundy and gold, decorated with foliage, ribbon, ornaments, and taper candles. The planters are filled with amaryllis, which the White House said represents strength and love—especially around the holidays.

A portion of the White House creche, or nativity scene, is featured in the grand foyer, but the White House said it is undergoing «a much-needed restoration overseen by the White House curators.»
The White House will reopen its doors for public Christmas tours on Dec. 2. The tours will feature the White House Christmas decorations on the state floor, and will give visitors the opportunity to «enjoy the beloved annual tradition that transforms the White House into a festive reflection of the spirit, warmth, faith, and hope of the holiday season.»

La contienda enfrentó a una candidata que promueve la continuidad del gobierno actual y a dos aspirantes con apoyo opositor, ambos distanciados de sus partidos tradicionales y con el objetivo de obtener el poder tras una tensa campaña.
La jornada comenzó pasadas las 7, hora local, y se extendió hasta las 18, luego de que el Consejo Electoral autorizara extender una hora más la votación.
El Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE) dispuso un despliegue especial de fuerzas de orden para garantizar un ambiente pacífico, una medida respaldada por la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA) y observadores internacionales, quienes han destacado la importancia de la transparencia en este proceso decisivo.
Más de seis millones de hondureños estuvieron habilitados para votar en más de 18.000 centros distribuidos en todo el territorio, en una jornada que definirá no solo la presidencia sino también la renovación del Congreso y gobiernos municipales.
De acuerdo con las últimas encuestas, tres de los cinco aspirantes presidenciales llegan prácticamente igualados: Rixi Moncada, abogada y figura cercana a la presidenta Xiomara Castro, compite por el oficialista Libertad y Refundación (Libre); el presentador Salvador Nasralla, quien busca la presidencia por cuarta vez, en esta ocasión representando al Partido Liberal; y el empresario Nasry Asfura, del Partido Nacional.

Tras la publicación de los resultados preliminares anunciados por el Consejo Nacional Electoral de Honduras (CNE), la designada presidencial del Partido Nacional, María Antonieta Mejías, agradeció la masiva participación ciudadana en las urnas y destacó el respaldo recibido por Honduras.
“Nuevamente, nuestra felicitación para el pueblo hondureño que acudió a votar masivamente. Damos gracias a Dios porque ha bendecido a Honduras y nos ha tomado de instrumento para su honra”, expresó ante la prensa.
Mejías subrayó que el proceso aún no ha finalizado y pidió a los simpatizantes y miembros del partido permanecer atentos.
“Esto no se termina hasta que se cuente hasta el último voto. Le pedimos a nuestros miembros no se muevan de las mesas, seguimos contando los votos”. Reiteró que aún faltan los reportes completos de los municipios, “por eso aún seguimos aventajando en nuestros datos, se despega el Partido Nacional de nuestros competidores”.
En su mensaje, agradeció también la participación de los adversarios en la contienda y remarcó la importancia de la templanza y la defensa de los principios democráticos.
“En esta noche vamos a decir que Dios ha sido bueno, nos ha mantenido firmes, enérgicos por la democracia y por las libertades del pueblo hondureño”.
Asfura encabeza el escrutinio
La presidenta del Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE) de Honduras, Ana Paola Hall, informó en horas de la noche de este domingo en cadena nacional la primera actualización oficial sobre los resultados preliminares de la elección presidencial.
Según el reporte divulgado, hasta el momento han sido procesadas 6.559 actas de un total de 19.152, lo que representa el 34,25% del total del nivel electivo para la presidencia.
De acuerdo con los datos anunciados, Nasry “Tito” Asfura, candidato del Partido Nacional, lidera con 530.073 votos. Le sigue el aspirante del Partido Liberal, Salvador Nasralla, con 506.316 votos, mientras que la representante del partido Libre, Rixi Moncada, figura en tercer lugar con 255.972 votos.
La titular del CNE subrayó que estos resultados tienen carácter preliminar y que el escrutinio sigue avanzando en todo el país.
Hall hizo énfasis en que el proceso de transmisión y conteo se realiza conforme a la Constitución y los procedimientos establecidos.

Antes de la difusión de los primeros resultados oficiales, la embajada de Estados Unidos en Honduras afirmó que sigue de cerca “las noticias sobre la gran participación de votantes” durante la jornada electoral de este domingo, al tiempo que pidió que los resultados “reflejen la voluntad del pueblo hondureño y no las manipulaciones de quienes intentarían impedirlo”.
“Permitamos que la misión de observadores de la OEA haga su trabajo”, agregó la embajada norteamericana en el mensaje divulgado en sus redes sociales.
El Partido Nacional volvió a pedir esperar los resultados oficiales
“Estamos muy contentos y agradecidos al pueblo, que acudió de manera masiva a votar por la democracia que anhelamos. Hay canales y partidos que han actuado de forma irresponsable al intentar adjudicarse la victoria antes de tiempo. Nuestro candidato -Nasry Asfrua- nos solicitó ejercer la prudencia necesaria”, pronunció María Antonieta Mejía, desde el búnker del Partido Nacional.
Si bien no brindó cifras ni datos concretos, adelantó: “Debemos completar el conteo de votos para consolidar el gran triunfo del Partido Nacional”.
