Resurfaced video of resident rejecting Fauci’s door-to-door vaccine sales pitch goes viral

A resurfaced video of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s 2021 door-to-door COVID-19 vaccine campaign is gaining renewed attention amid his contentious testimony before Congress on the federal handling of the pandemic.
The clip shows Fauci, then White House health advisor, and Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser visiting residents in the city’s Anacostia neighborhood to encourage them to get vaccinations. But the footage shows several skeptical residents challenged Fauci over the vaccines’ rapid development, long-term safety and the government’s messaging — exchanges that have become a flashpoint in the debate over the federal response.
And now that Fauci’s diary has been published and includes seemingly contradictory public statements versus private musings, his entire involvement has come under the microscope of his biggest critics.
«The people in America are not settled with the information that’s been given to us right now. So I’m not gonna be lining up taking a shot on a vaccination, for something that wasn’t clear in the first place and then you all create a shot in miraculous time. It takes years to create,» said a Washington, D.C. resident in the video shot by PBS in response to Fauci’s vaccine push campaign.

Fauci and Bowser, whose leaving office at the conclusion of her current term, encouraged residents in the «historic African American neighborhood» of D.C. to get the vaccine, seemingly attempting to persuade skeptical residents and using Fauci as an expert to sway them.
«[If] thousands of people, like you, don’t get vaccinated, you’re going to let this virus continue to percolate in this country and in this world,» urged Bowser standing alongside the nation’s top voice on the coronavirus at the time.
That resident pushed back, continuing to question the very swift timeline of the vaccine’s development and roll out. They compared it to the flu and expressed skepticism over why the government was incentivizing residents to get the jab.

«Because when you start talking about paying people to get vaccinated, when you start talking about incentivizing things to get people vaccinated, there’s something else going on with that. Something else. It’s something else,» said the resident.
Critics on social media swiftly responded to the resurfaced clip.
«They’re terrified of a free-thinking black man. God bless this man,» wrote «The Riley Gaines Show» podcast Riley Gaines on X.
«Earlier this day, Fauci learned he had a blood clot in his lung. Yet he still beat on black people’s doors, telling them to get the COVID shots. And these (mad) scientists wonder why black Americans are leery of vaccines? Maybe they don’t want to be Tuskegee test rats again,» wrote Article III Project founder Mike Davis.

«Never forget this brave American citizen that turned down getting a Covid vaccine and called out Fauci right to his face on camera,» wrote one user on X.
«What an absolute legend this guy… telling that narcissistic, deranged liar and his acolytes to GFT with their sh*tccine,» wrote Bitcoin miner Javier Hermonsa.
Fauci and Bowser both did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on the video making its rounds on social media ahead of the retired medical advisor’s appearance in Congress on Wednesday.
Fauci was subpoenaed by Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Sen. Rand Paul to answer questions primarily about the U.S. government’s handling of COVID-19 and the origins of the virus.

Ahead of the hearing Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump blasted Fauci on Truth Social.

«I Inherited Fauci, who was there since the 1980’s, but with each passing day, relied less and less on him. He made too many bad calls,» wrote Trump in part.
«Fauci was largely taken out of play, and then along came Sleepy Joe Biden, who made Fauci a ‘King!’ I called Biden to tell him Fauci was no good, either didn’t have a clue, or was dishonest. The call was well received, but sadly, not acted on. Biden went on to give Fauci vast destructive power,» he added.
During the hearing, Fauci repeatedly refused to answer substantive questions, invoking the Fifth Amendment against questions from lawmakers at least 111 times during the hearing.
Paul said the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs will hold a vote next week to «certify» Fauci’s contempt of Congress.

President Donald Trump scored a key victory in New Hampshire on Tuesday night, with his chosen candidate winning the GOP primary for one of the state’s two battleground congressional districts.
Businessman Anthony DiLorenzo defeated Novel Iron Works owner Hollie Noveletsky and state Rep. Brian Cole to clinch the Republican nomination for the Granite State’s 1st U.S. House district.

The race has been contentious on both sides of the aisle for the open seat, which is currently occupied by Rep. Chris Pappas, D-N.H., who is running for the U.S. Senate.

As a result of his U.S. Senate run, Pappas is leaving the House, opening a moderately blue seat that the nonpartisan Cook Partisan Voting Index rates D+2. That means it does lean in favor of Democrats, but the right Republican candidate could sweep come November.
New Hampshire only has two congressional districts, with the 1st being the smaller of the two geographically. It includes part of southern New Hampshire, including Manchester, the state’s most populous city. New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District is notably a seat that former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt ran for in 2022. Pappas defeated her by just under 10%.

The three candidates running for the GOP nomination in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District largely overlapped on most issues during their debates. But the most recent face-off, hosted by local station WMUR earlier this month, saw DiLorenzo become a target over his stance on illegal immigration.
Noveletsky and Cole both seized on DiLorenzo’s comments on «The Granite Discourse» podcast in which he suggested that deporting illegal immigrants should focus on felons and violent criminals over those who did not commit crimes since getting to the U.S., according to NHJournal.
«Unlike Anthony, who is on record on Granite Discourse saying that if somebody came here illegally and was working that they should have a path, I disagree,» Noveletsky said during the debate.

DiLorenzo said he supported deporting people who came to the U.S. illegally and added, «I would start with the dangerous people, the criminals, the drug dealers, the human traffickers. The law is clear, and I support law enforcement and the enforcement of our laws.»
Trump endorsed DiLorenzo in July, writing on Truth Social, «As a very successful Businessman and Entrepreneur, Anthony understands the America First Policies required to Create GREAT Jobs, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., and Champion our Nation’s Golden Age.»

DiLorenzo was also endorsed by House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., and Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn.
Noveletsky, meanwhile, was endorsed by a slew of New Hampshire state officials as well as House Rules Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx, R-N.C., according to her campaign website.

Hungary has demanded that 10 individuals with the Russian mission depart the country.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Orban — who is not related to Hungary’s former Prime Minister Viktor Orban — noted in a post on X that the 10 people had participated in actions that were «unacceptable» according to the Vienna Convention.
«Acting on my instructions, on Tuesday the relevant official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Russian ambassador to Hungary that, according to the assessment of the Hungarian authorities, 10 members of the Russian mission had engaged in activities in Hungary that are unacceptable for diplomats under the Vienna Convention. The Hungarian side has therefore called on the individuals in question to leave Hungary,» she declared in the post.

But Orban noted that Hungary is not cutting off diplomatic relations with Russia.
«This decision protects Hungary’s security and sovereignty. It does not imply breaking off diplomatic relations with Russia. Hungary intends to continue the necessary dialogue, based on mutual respect and adherence to the rules,» she said in the post.

The Russian Foreign Ministry, in comments to Russia’s state news agency RIA Novosti, vowed to provide «an appropriate response» to the expulsions.
Hungary is a member of the European Union.
European Commission spokesperson Christian Wigand said Tuesday that «we take note of Hungary’s legitimate decision» to expel the Russian diplomats.
Wigand noted that the move was an expected response due to «Russia’s persistent campaign in using hybrid attacks against the EU and its member states.»

La “economía de los expatriados” ya mueve más de $1.800 millones y se consolidó como el segmento de mayor dinamismo dentro del mercado residencial, de acuerdo con un estudio de la consultora Indesa.
Afirma que la demanda combina compras de vivienda, gastos cotidianos y servicios dirigidos a residentes internacionales.
Esta oportunidad surge de un proceso que empieza con el turismo: una parte de los visitantes prolonga su estadía y luego decide invertir o establecerse en el país.
Indesa sostiene que este ciclo está elevando el peso de los compradores extranjeros en las viviendas de mayor valor y abre negocios más allá del sector inmobiliario.
La inversión extranjera en el mercado residencial superó los $841 millones en 2025, según datos de Indesa Analytics.
Esa cifra, explica, representó un aumento de 53% frente a 2019 y avanzó a un ritmo superior al de la demanda interna en el segmento de propiedades con precios mayores a $120.000.
Durante el primer trimestre de 2026, las adquisiciones realizadas por extranjeros llegaron a $205 millones. El volumen registró un alza interanual de 17%.
La participación de esos compradores alcanzó el 57% del segmento residencial superior a $120.000, el nivel más alto de la serie elaborada por la firma consultora.
Los extranjeros que participan en ese mercado buscan principalmente una inversión o una residencia para el retiro, se indica.
Estados Unidos pasó a liderar la demanda internacional durante los primeros tres meses de 2026.
Los compradores de ese país destinaron $33,6 millones a operaciones inmobiliarias, con un crecimiento de 53% respecto del mismo período del año anterior.
El resultado marcó la primera ocasión en que Estados Unidos superó a Colombia y Venezuela, los dos países que habían encabezado históricamente la demanda extranjera de vivienda en Panamá.
La mediana del precio de venta también distingue a los compradores estadounidenses y europeos. Para los primeros se ubicó en $259.000, mientras que entre los europeos llegó a $310.000.
La actividad vinculada con los expatriados no se limita a la compra de inmuebles. La consultora calcula que los extranjeros residentes con ingresos mensuales superiores a $4.000 generan un gasto corriente anual de $990 millones.
Ese consumo incluye necesidades asociadas con la instalación y permanencia en el país. La demanda abarca asesoramiento patrimonial y migratorio, servicios residenciales, propuestas de bienestar y consumo de productos y experiencias de mayor precio.
Indesa remarcó que el residente internacional requiere una oferta que acompañe distintas etapas de su llegada. La adquisición de una propiedad es solo una parte de un mercado más amplio, que depende de la facilidad para tramitar documentos, encontrar vivienda y acceder a servicios adaptados a ese perfil.
La firma plantea que la capacidad de atender esas necesidades puede definir qué países captan una porción mayor de la demanda regional por movilidad, retiro e inversión residencial.
El flujo turístico mostró un crecimiento de 19,7% interanual en el primer trimestre de 2026. El repunte siguió al incremento de 11,6% registrado durante 2025.
En ese período se consolidó el turismo procedente de Estados Unidos, identificado por Indesa como el de mayor crecimiento desde 2019. Ese movimiento se refleja después en el interés por estadías más largas, inmuebles y residencia.
Manifiesta la consultora que el programa Stopover de Copa Airlines tuvo un papel en la dinamización de ese flujo, según el análisis de la consultora. El turismo es hoy la principal fuente de divisas de Panamá después de la Zona Libre de Colón.
La brecha entre el tránsito aéreo y la llegada efectiva de visitantes muestra un margen de crecimiento. El Aeropuerto Internacional de Tocumen moviliza cerca de 20 millones de pasajeros por año, mientras que Panamá recibe 2,3 millones de turistas internacionales.
Para Indesa, esa diferencia revela una conversión todavía limitada entre los pasajeros que pasan por el país y quienes lo eligen como destino. El desafío, afirma, consiste en transformar una parte mayor de esa conectividad en turismo, estadías prolongadas, residencia e inversión.
